Popcorn mais

Popcorn is a variety of corn kernel which expands and puffs up when heated. According to the Spanish conquistadors, it was already known by the Aztecs. The preparation of popcorn is very simple: just pour the corn kernels into pan with a little hot oil and cover with a lid. Once cooked, the popcorn ‘pops’. Popcorn is usually sprinkled with salt or sugar, but there are many variations, e.g. caramel or chocolate. It is eaten either hot or cold.
